MV # 06 - Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Once upon a time, there were three bears, who lived in a house of their own deep in a forest.

Era uma vez três ursos, que viviam em uma casa própria nas profundezas de uma floresta.

One of them was a Little Bear, one a Medium-sized Bear, and one a Big Bear.

Um deles era um ursinho, um ursinho de tamanho médio e um ursinho de pelúcia.

They had each a bowl for their porridge: a small bowl, a medium-sized bowl, and a great bowl.

Cada um deles tinha uma tigela para o mingau: uma tigela pequena, uma tigela de tamanho médio e uma tigela grande.

Also, they had each a chair to sit in: a small chair, a medium-sized chair, and a big chair.

Além disso, cada um deles tinha uma cadeira para sentar: uma cadeira pequena, uma cadeira de tamanho médio e uma cadeira grande.

And they also had each a bed to sleep in: a small bed, a medium-sized bed, and a big bed.

E eles também tinham uma cama para dormir: uma cama pequena, uma cama de tamanho médio e uma cama grande.

One day, after they carefully and neatly had made their beds and cooked porridge for breakfast, they took a walk in the woods while the porridge cooled in their bowls, so they wouldn’t burn their mouths.

Um dia, depois de cuidadosamente e cuidadosamente arrumar suas camas e cozinhar o mingau no café da manhã, eles deram um passeio na floresta enquanto o mingau esfriava em suas tigelas, para não queimar a boca.

They were polite, well-behaved bears.

While they were away, a girl called Goldilocks (she had long, wavy blonde hair) passed by the house and peeped in the keyhole, for she was not at all a polite, well-behaved little girl.

Enquanto estavam fora, uma garota chamada Cachinhos Dourados (ela tinha longos cabelos loiros ondulados) passou pela casa e espiou pelo buraco da fechadura, pois ela não era de todo uma menina educada e bem-comportada.

Seeing nobody home, she lifted the door’s latch.

Não vendo ninguém em casa, ela levantou a trava da porta.

The door was not locked because the three bears did nobody any harm and never suspected anybody would harm them.

A porta não estava trancada porque os três ursos não fizeram mal a ninguém e nunca suspeitaram que alguém os machucaria.

Goldilocks was pleased when she saw the porridge on the table.

Cachinhos Dourados ficou satisfeito quando viu o mingau na mesa.

If she had been a good little girl, she would have waited for the three bears to come home, and perhaps they would’ve shared their breakfast.

Se ela fosse uma boa garotinha, teria esperado que os três ursos chegassem em casa e talvez eles tivessem compartilhado o café da manhã.

Unfortunately, Goldilocks was insolent and rude, so she set about helping herself.

Infelizmente, Goldilocks era insolente e rude, então ela começou a se ajudar.

First she tasted the porridge of the Big Bear, and that was too hot.

Primeiro, ela provou o mingau do Big Bear, e estava muito quente.

Medium-sized bear’s porridge was too cold.

O mingau de urso de tamanho médio estava muito frio.

But Little Bear’s porridge was just right.

Mas o mingau de Little Bear estava perfeito.

She liked it so much that she ate it all up!

Ela gostou tanto que comeu tudo!

After Goldilocks finished breakfast, she sat down in the chair of the Big Bear, but it was too hard for her.

Depois que Goldilocks terminou o café da manhã, ela se sentou na cadeira do Big Bear, mas foi muito difícil para ela.

Medium-sized Bear’s chair was too soft.

A cadeira de urso de tamanho médio era muito mole.

But Little Bear’s chair was just right.

Mas a cadeira de Ursinho estava perfeita.

She sat in Little Bear’s small chair so long that the bottom of the chair came out and she fell to the ground, which made her very cross.

Ela sentou na cadeira pequena de Ursinho por tanto tempo que a parte de baixo da cadeira saiu e ela caiu no chão, o que a deixou muito zangada.

Determined to rest, Goldilocks went upstairs into the bedchamber.

Determinado a descansar, Goldilocks subiu as escadas para o quarto.

First, she tried to lay on the big bed, but it was too high.

Primeiro, ela tentou deitar na cama grande, mas estava muito alta.

Then, she tried to lay on the medium-sized bed, but it was too low.

Então, ela tentou deitar na cama de tamanho médio, mas estava muito baixa.

Finally, she tried the Little Bear’s bed, and it was just right.

Finalmente, ela tentou a cama do Ursinho, e estava certa.

She covered herself up comfortably and fell asleep.

Ela se cobriu confortavelmente e adormeceu.

By this time, the three bears thought their porridge would be cool enough for them to eat, só they came home for breakfast.

A essa altura, os três ursos pensaram que o mingau seria frio o suficiente para eles comerem, então chegaram em casa para o café da manhã.

Careless Goldilocks had left the spoon of the Big Bear standing in his porridge.

Cachinhos Dourados descuidados haviam deixado a colher do Big Bear em pé no seu mingau.

"Somebody has been at my porridge!" said the Big Bear.

"Alguém esteve no meu mingau!" disse o Big Bear.

Then the Medium-sized Bear also saw her spoon stuck in the middle of her porridge.

Então o urso de tamanho médio também viu sua colher presa no meio do mingau.

"Somebody has been at my porridge!" said the Medium-sized Bear.

"Alguém esteve no meu mingau!" disse o urso de tamanho médio.

When Little Bear looked at his bowl, there was his spoon, but the porridge was all gone.

Quando Ursinho olhou para a tigela, havia a colher, mas o mingau havia sumido.

"Somebody has been at my porridge and has eaten it all up!"

"Alguém esteve no meu mingau e comeu tudo!"

The three bears, knowing that someone had entered their house, began to look for the intruder.

Os três ursos, sabendo que alguém havia entrado em sua casa, começaram a procurar o intruso.

They checked their chairs.

Eles conferiram suas cadeiras.

"Somebody has been sitting in my chair!" said both the Big Bear and the Medium-sized Bear.

"Alguém está sentado na minha cadeira!" disse o Big Bear e o urso de tamanho médio.

"Somebody has been sitting in my chair, and has broken the bottom of it!" said the Little Bear.

"Alguém está sentado na minha cadeira e quebrou o fundo dela!" disse o Ursinho.

Then, the three bears went upstairs into their bedchamber, where Goldilocks had left the carefully made beds a mess.

Então, os três ursos subiram para o quarto, onde Cachinhos Dourados deixaram as camas cuidadosamente arrumadas.

"Somebody has been lying in my bed!" said the Big Bear.

"Alguém estava deitado na minha cama!" disse o Big Bear.

"Somebody has been lying in my bed!" said the Medium-sized Bear.

"Alguém estava deitado na minha cama!" disse o urso de tamanho médio.

When Little Bear looked at his bed, there was Goldilocks's yellow head on the pillow!

Quando Ursinho olhou para a cama, havia a cabeça amarela de Cachinhos Dourados no travesseiro!

"Somebody has been lying in my bed — and she’s still here!"

"Alguém estava deitado na minha cama - e ela ainda está aqui!"

In Goldilocks’ sleep, the great, gruff voice of the Big Bear sounded like no more than the roaring wind.

No sono de Cachinhos Dourados, a grande e áspera voz do Big Bear parecia não mais que o vento estridente.

Medium-sized Bear's voice sounded like a little bird chirping.

A voz de urso de tamanho médio soou como um passarinho cantando.

But Little Bear’s voice was so sharp and shrill that she woke up immediately.

Mas a voz de Ursinho era tão aguda e estridente que ela acordou imediatamente.

When Goldilocks saw the three bears on one side of the bed, she tumbled herself off the other side of the bed, ran to the window, and jumped.

Quando Cachinhos Dourados viu os três ursos de um lado da cama, ela caiu do outro lado da cama, correu para a janela e pulou.

No one can say whether she ran into the deep forest and was lost or found her way home and got whipped for being a bad girl.

Ninguém pode dizer se ela correu para a floresta profunda e se perdeu ou encontrou o caminho de casa e foi açoitada por ser uma garota má.

The three bears never heard about her again and they lived happily ever after.

Os três ursos nunca mais ouviram falar dela e viveram felizes para sempre.
