Communication: Right and wrong

I'm glad/I'm pleased the government are increasing the tax on petrol. The government are right/it's right to do it. They are doing the right thing. It's a good idea. I approve of them making petrol more expensive.

Approving

People oughtn't to drive/shouldn't drive big cars. It's wrong/not right to use so much petrol. I don't approve of/I disapprove of people using up so much energy.

Disapproving

The accident was the lorry driver's fault. I blame the lorry driver. The lorry driver was to blame. He ought to have stopped.

Blaming someone

I'm afraid I have a complaint to make about the food. I'm sorry to have to say this, but the service isn't very good. Look, I really must protest about the condition of my room. Can't something be done to stop the noise?

Complaining

I'm sorry I've damaged your car. I'm very/extremely/awfully/terrible sorry. I beg your pardon. I apologize/I do apologize. Please accept my apologies.
